Yesterday we visited Baluk William Nature Conservation Reserve. Even though it was early November, some Springtime orchids were present.

Mantis Orchid (Caladenia tentaculata)

another view of the species
again the same orchid. Notice how different they appear depending on the viewing angle and individual.

Brown Beaks (Lyperanthus suaveolens)

Later that day we went to Mt Cannibal Flora and Fauna Reserve.
There we saw a few more nice things.

Cinnamon Bells (Gastrodia sesamoides)

Pink Fingers (Caladenia carnea carnea)

Common Bird Orchid (Chiloglottis valida)

Leopard Orchid  x Donkey Orchid (Diuris pardina x corymbosa)? Two spiders have made their homes here too.

Yellow-faced Honeyeater
